Our client, the UK’s largest training provider in the construction sector, is looking for a skilled and passionate Construction Trainer. The role involves delivering a mix of classroom and hands-on training sessions that cover Construction Theory and Health and Safety. These short-term courses, lasting 2 to 4 weeks, are designed to equip learners with essential skills and knowledge for entry-level roles in the construction industry. The successful candidate will need to travel across various centres within the Nottingham area.
Key Duties:
Conduct interactive training sessions aligned with the curriculum to ensure learners gain practical construction skills and safety knowledge.
Maintain accurate records of learner progress, including assessment results and personal development plans.
Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to learners, identifying areas for improvement and offering constructive feedback.
Guide learners on their career paths, advising them on further opportunities and qualifications.
Ensure all training complies with relevant regulations, funding requirements, and quality standards.
Oversee the assessment of learners' work, including reviewing and verifying e-portfolios to confirm qualification attainment.
Required Skills and Experience:
A teaching qualification such as PTLLS, Level 3 AET, or an equivalent certification.
Experience as an Assessor or relevant qualification in assessing learners.
A Level 3 qualification in construction or equivalent experience in the field.
Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (or higher).
Proven background in delivering construction training, preferably within a classroom setting.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse group of learners.
Strong IT literacy, especially in managing learner records and e-portfolios.
Detail-oriented, with a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under pressure.
A proactive, positive approach to teaching, with a genuine passion for helping others succeed.
